Abstract:This paper focuses on the intellectual work of the Sephardic Spanish philologist Kalmi Baruh, considered the father of Spanish studies in Yugoslavia. His studies on the Judeo-Spanish language and Spanish literature are analysed within the issues concerning the Sephardi community in the Bosnian context between the two wars.
