Abstract: Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are chronic inflammatory diseases with increasing prevalence in elderly patients. Multiple comorbidities associated with polypharmacy are to be considered in such patients and impose some limitations in the diagnosis and treatment of IBD.
