Precipitation kinetics in Ag–7.5wt.% Cu alloy studied by isothermal DSC and electrical-resistance measurements

“…Experimental DSC and electrical-resistance data were analyzed within the framework of the Komolgorov-JohnsonMehl-Avrami (KJMA) [7][8][9] model, already used to describe phase changes and specifically precipitation phenomena in several alloys, such as Al-based alloys, where isothermal DSC heat flow [11,12] and changes in electrical resistivity [13,14] were examined. The KJMA model assumes that phase changes occur via nucleation and growth reactions and that nucleation sites are randomly distributed.…”
