Abstract: To investigate the effects of laparoscopic surgery on the progression of cancers, it is necessary to establish a reliable and economical animal model. We describe a convenient murine pneumoperitoneal model for the study of laparoscopic cancer surgery. Under anesthesia using diethyl ether, peritoneal cavity was insufflated with gas through an intravenous catheter placed in the left lower quadrant.
