Plant uses extrinsic factors like air, water, light, and nutrition for the regulation of growth and development. Likewise, it also uses intrinsic factors which are phytohormones, active molecules produced by plant cells vital for embryogenesis, abiotic stress, biotic stress, and reproductive development. From classified hormones, the brassinosteroids (BRs) are one of the novel plant hormone groups of isoprenoid origin. They are regarded as hormones with pleiotropic effects because they exhibit remarkable growth supporting property. Apart from its normal functioning of cell growth, cell elongation, photomorphogenesis, and seed germination, it also helps plants to mitigate the environmental biotic and abiotic stress by acting as stress-reliever.
