As indústrias buscam integrar seu sistema de informação a fim de alimentar dados operacionais para a tomada de decisões. Muitas organizações estão implementando tecnologias de Business Intelligence para oferecer suporte a relatórios e. As tecnologias de Business Intelligence facilitam a coleta de dados, análise e entrega de informações para apoiar a tomada de decisões. O objetivo desse artigo consiste na identificação das oportunidades de aplicações de Business Intelligence no contexto da Indústria 4.0, para tanto, foi realizada uma Revisão Sistemática da Literatura utilizando as palavras-chave Industry 4.0 e Business Intelligence, identificando os principais autores, periódicos mais relevantes, e principais tópicos de pesquisa. Ao final do processo de busca, dezenove artigos foram selecionados com onze tópicos principais, nas bases de dados Scopus, Web of Science e Science Direct, proporcionando análise teórica, aplicações e novas oportunidades de modelos de negócios para a sociedade.

This research strives to show the importance of knowledge absorptive capacity as one of the most important determinants of successful implementation of contemporary solutions and, consequently, development of a company. In the approach presented, the development leads to excellence and is expressed with subsequent maturity levels. The research is focused on identification of the level of absorption of knowledge of contemporary solutions in logistics, grouped in a concept of Logistics 4.0, and how that upgrades the organizational maturity of a company. The research was conducted with CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interview), including three questions and a basic query on experts’ qualifications. The general conclusion from the research was that to reach a higher level of maturity, a higher level of knowledge absorption is required. However, searching for differences in absorption of solutions within physical flows, information flows and managerial methods seem to be an interesting issue and promising field for further research.

The following paper was developed with a view to identifying the relationship between Sustainable Development and Operational Excellence concepts and to assess the state-of-the-art in Operational Excellence within Sustainable Development concept. Highly unstable business environments and opportunities occurring in the market require a specific approach and knowledge to achieve success. It is the authors’ view that improvements in the delivery of sustainable results through social, environmental, and economic responsibility is possible thanks to modern management concepts, strategies, and tools. These activities and approaches, when properly incorporated, significantly support the functioning of businesses in a responsible and profitable way. This paper outlines a systematic literature review of the subject described above. The literature review has been conducted with the use of two databases: Web of Science and Scopus. The results of the analysis show that there is a visible connection between Operational Excellence and Sustainable Development concepts. On the basis of the review, one can notice a strong relationship between Operational Excellence and management concepts, e.g., Lean Management. Nevertheless, the input of the selected articles based on abstract analysis compared to the whole compilation concerning Sustainable Development shows that there is a gap. The authors believe that this topic is interesting and worth further analysis.
