Abstract: This study aimed at exploring the key kinetic and kinematic factors of 110-m hurdle clearance performance using three-dimensional (3D) analysis system. Ten national level athletes participated in this study. The kinematic analysis of the hurdling sequences was recorded using ten mutually synchronized digital cameras. Body markers were digitized using SkillSpector ® software. Ground-reaction force was calculated by using rigid body inverse dynamics using the Smith's equations. All variables were combined into c… Show more

“…However, the transfer of this type of auditory information in hurdling is limited to the times when feet touched the ground. The complexity of hurdling is related to the precise performance of lower body movements that are timed with jumping over the hurdle (Amara et al, 2019;Brničević, 2020). For this reason, more complex movement sonification can be an effective complement to visual modeling in acquisition of this specific skill.…”

“…over the years, there has been a considerable amount of biomechanical literature concerning the kinematic analysis of hurdle clearance at Human Movement, Vol. 25, No 1, 2024 different levels of performance in both male and female athletes [2,[7][8][9][10][11][12]. However, there is a scarcity of data that compares the distinct movement characteristics exhibited by elite hurdlers in contrast to elite athletes participating in combined events.…”
