Abstract:An investigation was undertaken to study microwave pretreatment and dyeing process of wool fabric. Microwave pretreatment of wool fabric was carried out under variety of conditions in terms of the use of water, 50g/L urea, 100g/L urea in the treatment solution. The area shrinkage, surface morphology, crystallinity and dye ability of the pretreated wool fabric were measured.
