“…To ensure an optimal NMS solution, PC-Ord's (McCune and Mefford 1999) "autopilot/slow and thorough" mode was used in which 40 iterations were performed on the Bray-Curtis matrix; 50 additional runs were performed with randomized data so that the final solution could be compared to solutions that might be obtained by chance alone.
