Abstract: The efficiency of carbohydrate rich food was studied and compared with four different feeds on the juveniles of Penaeus monodon (Fabricius). The average food consumption of formulated feed rich in carbohydrates (Feed 2) showed minimum consumption (0.479 g dry weight), faecal production (0.061 g dry weight) and Food Conversion Ratio (0.471) as compared to protein rich Feed-1 where these values were maximum. The assimilation efficiency (86.78%) and average gross efficiency (198.47%) was higher in Feed-2 as compa… Show more

“…Once calculated the density, the crystallization percentage was calculated by Equation (2 The external age ( ) was calculated by Equation 5for the calculation of the parameter external age [13,22] and the integral ( ) was resolved numerically applying the five-point quadrature. This numerical integration model provides high robustness that minimizes possible analytical errors during resolution [19,29,30]. in which is the mean residence time (in min) and t is the time of analysis (in min).…”

“…Among the six essential components in formulating feed, the most expensive are the protein elements. Nowadays, there are a lot of application of replacement from plant and animal protein sources to animal feed ( Pati et al, 2016 , Rahman et al, 2021 , Zulhisyam et al, 2021 , Zulhisyam et al, 2020 ). To reduce the cost of import, developed countries have expended significant effort in locating and utilising diverse local sources for feed ingredients, particularly protein material.…”
