Abstract

This research aims to find out Aisyah representation in the song lyrics of the song Sayyidah 'A>ishah and Aisyah Istri Rosulullah based on the semiotics perspective by Roland Barthes. Type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. Primary data sources in this study are the lyrics of the song Sayyidah 'A>ishah which was popularized by Mohamed Tarek from the Middle East and Aisyah Istri Rosulullah which was popularized by Sabyan Gambus from Indonesia. This researcher uses technique of collecting data by reading and writing. Morever, in the technique of data analysis consisted of 2 stages. The result of the study found that the representation of Aisyah in the lyrics of the song Sayyidah 'A>ishah, such as 1) Resilient; 2) great; 3) intelligent and 4) strong memorized, making it a role model for women on earth. Whereas Aisyah's representation in the song of Aisyah Istri Rosulullah, such as 1) beautiful; 2) white skin; 3) cheeks are red, so the Prophet likes to call him Yaa Humaira or my wife whose cheeks are reddish.
