949-P: Hypoglycemia Detection during Real-Time Continuous Glucose Monitoring in a Real-World Hospital Setting

Abstract: Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in the hospital can detect hypoglycemia that may go unnoticed by point-of-care testing (POCT). Following the non-objection of the FDA to the use of CGM in the hospital, using the Dexcom G6 CGM system, the “CGM as Standard of Care” (CGM as SOC) program was implemented at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego with a 24/7 remote-monitoring team (RMT) using a Digital Dashboard (DD).
