834. Optical rotatory dispersion. Part XXII. Steroidal azomethines

Abstract: The formation of steroidal Schiff's bases possessing exocyclic azomethine groups at the 3-, 16-, and 17-positions has been examined. Compounds of the last type can be readily isolated, but in less-hindered situations the azomethine group is much more sensitive. Spectral and optical rotatory dispersion data are presented and discussed.
