Rheological properties of silica dispersions stabilized by stereoregular poly(methyl methacrylate)

All moduli are frequency-dependent and a plateau is observed at low frequencies, which is characteristic of a partially flocculated structure, especially for φ = 0.23, but a rupture in the slope is also observed at low frequency for φ = 0.46 [16][17][18][19]. The higher packing density of the particles in the φ = 0.46 systems leads to stronger interparticle interactions, interpreted as an only partial local screening of the silicasilica interactions, which can result in local direct silicasilica contacts.…”
