6G Network AI Architecture for Everyone-Centric Customized Services

Abstract: Mobile communication standards were developed for enhancing transmission and network performance by using more radio resources and improving spectrum and energy efficiency. How to effectively address diverse user requirements and guarantee everyone's Quality of Experience (QoE) remains an open problem. The Sixth Generation (6G) mobile systems will solve this problem by utilizing heterogenous network resources and pervasive intelligence to support everyone-centric customized services anywhere and anytime. In th… Show more

“…Third, considering the diverse delay requirements of different XR, haptic communication, and holographic communication use cases, the Open-RAN (O-RAN) architecture featuring realtime, near-realtime, and non-realtime layers can benefit service differentiation in RAN management for immersive communications [298]. Last, considering different user preferences and diverse user devices, a new architecture enabling user-centric networking, such as the everyone-centric architecture in [299], has a potential to empower immersive communications. However, as none of the above architectures is developed specifically for immersive communications, new designs and customizations based on them for supporting immersive communications are open for investigation.…”

“…The 6G network will form a three-dimensional coverage of global communication through the interaction of satellite and terrestrial networks, forming a seamless three-dimensional coverage on a global scale, and is expected to provide heterogeneous services and seamless network coverage [ 9 , 10 ]. The integrated satellite-terrestrial network architecture can integrate the information of both networks, thereby ensuring wider network coverage and higher performance [ 11 , 12 ].…”

“…In these harsh areas, constructing terrestrial cellular networks, as in the fifth-generation (5G) system, will be difficult or extremely expensive, due to damaged infrastructures and tough geographical conditions. Instead, a non-terrestrial network via satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), may be used to fill the coverage gap and offer everyone-centric customized services [1].…”

“…Furthermore, some MTDs may participate in a timecritical activity, which requires delay-sensitive services. All these issues pose challenges to the use of satellite communications for MTDs, and will inevitably lead to poor user satisfaction ratios [1].…”
