Abstract:BackgroundOptions for treatment of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE) infections were historically limited to antibiotics with limited efficacy and significant toxicities. Ceftazidime/avibactam (CA) and meropenem/vaborbactam (MV) are superior to older regimens; however, a direct comparison of the agents is lacking.
