“…SLNB was performed in patients with clinically negative axillary lymph nodes, and ALND was performed in cases with clinically positive axillary lymph nodes. Both techniques of lymphoscintigraphy and patent blue painting were used together in all patients since the combination improves the intraoperative identification rate %96.6-100% (4,5). SLNs were identified by either blued nodes and/or radioactive lymph nodes with an activity at least 10 times that of the background with a handheld gamma counter.…”
