Abstract: BackgroundOur group has been continuously performing epidemiological analyses on capsular types of pneumococci since 2007. Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine decreased the proportion of nonvaccine capsular types. Furthermore, null-capsule isolates that produced PspK were also identified in our analysis.
