Abstract: In this paper we present the results of development of a backlight in which a single glass plate serves as both a light guide and a core of the printed circuit delivering current to the mini‐LED light sources. The backlight integrates a patterned glass diffuser (PGD) and a glass printed circuit board (GCB).
