“…At the proximal end of Pv04, the Co-3 gene (or Mexique 1 ) was described in the cultivar Mexico 222 using the isolates 14 and 51 [24], and later, two race-specific resistance genes to races 19 and 31 (R 19 and R 31 ) from Mexico 222 were mapped on LG Pv04 between the markers Pv-ctt001 and SW12 700 [9]. “…Ouro Negro is a highly productive black-seeded Mesoamerican cultivar with desirable agronomic and cooking characteristics that was selected from CIAT accession G3680, also known as Honduras 35 (Alzate-Marin et al, 2003).
