In the context of “space of flows”, city-based innovation correlation in driving economic growth is no longer limited to the traditional hierarchical structure. It is of great significance to explore Chinese cities innovation association network from the perspective of high-tech zones which gather a large number of innovation resources. Here our report is to provide new ideas for improving the innovation capability of high-tech zones and accelerating the construction of Chinese high-quality innovation system. Here we take 142 cities with high-tech zones as research samples, and explore the characteristics and influencing factors of spatial network of city-based innovation correlation in China, through modified gravity modelsocial, network analysis and QAP analysis. The results show that city-based innovation network is not closely connected, the number of redundant connection channels is low efficiency, showing a four-level spatial pattern of “Z” shaped spindle. Among them, degree centrality of cities in eastern China is higher than that in the western region, the core cities in central China play a bridging role, and western remote cities are easily affected by related cities. Moreover, there are four innovation cohesion subgroups, including the northern hinterland subgroup, the eastern coastal subgroup, the southern subgroup and the western cooperation subgroup. Furthermore, the results of the influencing factors analysis show the differences in administrative level, economic development level, openness to the outside world, and investment in technology are conducive to the innovation association between cities, while the similarities in spatial adjacency and industrial structure will promote the strong innovation association between cities.

The use of innovative technologies in workspaces, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and smart systems, has been increasing, yet it remains in the minority of the total number of smart system applications. However, universities and technopoles are part of open innovation that can encourage experimental IoT and smart system projects in places. This research considers the challenges and advantages of developing intelligent environments with smart systems in the Technology Development Zones (TDZs) of Turkey. The growth of Silicon Valley has inspired many technopoles in different countries. Thus, the article includes first a comprehensive survey of the story of Silicon Valley and the emerging technological potential of open and responsible innovation for intelligent spaces and technoparks with rising innovative interest. The study then conducts empirical research in inspecting the performance of TDZs in Turkey. In the research, machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) models are applied in the analyses of critical performance indicators for encouraging incentives and investments in innovative attempts and productivity in TDZs; the challenges, potential, and need for intelligent spaces are evaluated accordingly. This article also reports on the minority of the design staff and the lack of innovation in developing intelligent spaces in the organization of the creative class in Turkey. Consequently, the research proposes a set of implementations for deploying intelligent spaces to be practiced in new and existing TDZs by considering their potential for sustainable and responsible innovation.

Como se indicaba anteriormente, estos elementos intangibles son los encargados de propiciar el carácter específico de lo que es un PCT, esto es: un lugar de generación e intercambio de conocimiento y de innovación (Benko, 2000). En un PCT totalmente operativo, los elementos intangibles y tangibles se complementan de tal manera que estos últimos tienden a financiar a los primeros, haciendo cada vez más atractiva la instalación de nuevas empresas en el parque y, por lo tanto, elevando el valor y el prestigio de los elementos tangibles, generando un círculo virtuoso que, como veremos más adelante, rara vez se da en la práctica.…”

Este informe representa un primer acercamiento al problema en América Latina, donde no existen estudios comparativos sobre la viabilidad y el impacto económico de los PCT. El objetivo es analizar el impacto que los PCT han tenido y pueden llegar tener sobre las economías de las ciudades y regiones en las que se implantan en América Latina. El estudio abarca ocho de los principales países latinoamericanos (Argentina, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, México, Perú, Uruguay y Venezuela) que han aplicado, están aplicando, o se proponen aplicar políticas de innovación basadas en la implantación de PCT, y presenta un primer mapeo de la localización de los parques en estos países.
