“…Furthermore, the overall CS after resolution showed lower values compared to the normative data of CS in Caucasian subjects [ 19 ]. A previous study proposed the hypothesis that the fellow eye of CSC could have a subclinical manifestation [ 7 ]. The CS at 3 and 18 cpd in the fellow eye of CSC was compromised compared to the age-matched normal eye.…”

“…That is because if patients are over 50 years then macular degeneration, choroidal neovascularization, or polypoidal choroid vasculopathy should be ruled out for CSC diagnosis [ 7 ]. OCT and ICG may help to differentiate from other diagnoses [ 8 ]. In our case, other differential diagnoses of CSC were eliminated with fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICGA), and fundus examination.…”

“…Some central visual functions do not seem to recover in all eyes after CSCR even if the visual acuity has returned to normal [3,4,5, 26]. In our study, perimetric parameters have been evaluated to detect if any central visual functional deficits remained after resolved CSCR.…”

“…It is known to affect predominantly healthy adult males with ‘type A’ personalities and high-stress lifestyles [1]. Most eyes with CSCR undergo spontaneous resorption of subretinal fluid and recovery of visual acuity within 1–6 months of the onset of symptoms, although mild metamorphopsia, faint scotoma, abnormalities in contrast sensitivity and visual field, and a mild color vision deficit frequently persist [2,3,4,5,6]. …”
