Abstract: BackgroundSelected MRSA strains become susceptible to β-lactams (e.g., oxacillin [OX]; cefazolin [CFZ]) in vitro when tested in a standard medium (cation-adjusted Mueller–Hinton Broth; CA-MHB) supplemented with NaHCO3 (“NaHCO3-responsivity”).
