Abstract: OBJECTIVE: Despite recommendations, compliance with postpartum screening in women diagnosed with gestational diabetes (GDM) is low. Identification of persistent impaired glucose tolerance provides the opportunity for early preventative interventions or treatment for Type 2 diabetes.
