6.2: Visual perception based non‐reference binocular tone mapping algorithm

Abstract: Binocular tone mapping aims to improve the overall quality of the image perceived by the human eye, and has been continuously optimized since it was proposed. Based on visual perception experiment, a series of visual perception experiments are designed for the binocular perception ability of human eyes. On this basis, a visual perception based nonreference binocular tone mapping algorithm is proposed. The algorithm has a more streamlined and closer to the human visual perception framework, and is more adaptive… Show more

“…Images of all dynamic range levels appear randomly on each side of the screen. At the same time, the level of exposure for each eye is also random, which balances the effect of the primary eye on the experiment (11). Observers use the left and right arrow keys of the keyboard to mark the better quality they choose.…”
