Abstract: BackgroundBased on available evidence and its benefit/risk balance, acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) is the first-line antiplatelet drug of choice for secondary prevention of cardiovascular events. It is recommended to be used at low doses, not exceeding 150 mg/day.
