Abstract:Pain is a subjective, multidimensional and unpleasant experience allied with actual or potential tissue damage comprising sensory, affective and cognitive components. Pain signals interpretation is a complex process that entails excitation of peripheral nerves and further excitation of nociceptive inputs.
