“…The structural properties of the catalysts have not been fully disclosed, and this leavesu nclear the justification of such high activity. [13] 13.3 %s electivity was reached when Ru was supported on poly(4-vinylpyridine)-functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Metal systemss uch as Co II ,F e II ,C u II with salen ligands, even supported on SBA-15, afforded up to 14.39 %s electivity, with H 2 O 2 as oxidant.…”

“…Transition metal salts, in particular containing molybdenum, copper, vanadium, and tungsten, have become the most common catalysts for oxidation [13][14][15][16][17]. Such catalysts have become widespread due to their ability to form peroxocomplexes in the presence of hydrogen peroxide [7,18,19].…”

“…2,5‐Diformylfuran (DFF) is a versatile compound that has various applications, including as a polymeric monomer and a promising cross‐linking agent for battery separation, in pharmaceuticals, antifungal agents, furan–urea resins, heterocyclic ligands and other value added products, which is synthesized predominantly via the oxidation of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF). However, this transformation can be accompanied by the formation of several other kinds of furan compounds like 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid, 5‐formyl‐2‐furancarboxylic acid and 5‐hydroxymethyl‐2‐furancarboxylic acid . Thus, for DFF production, highly selective oxidation of HMF is important.…”
