“…Shah et al 7,8 developed the Prolapse and Incontinence Knowledge Questionnaire (PIKQ), a pair of 12-item scales assessing the knowledge of the epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of UI and POP. Since 2008, the instrument has been translated and validated across several languages, including Turkish, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, and Hebrew 9–13 . Using the PIKQ survey, Shah et al 8 discovered that White women may have greater UI knowledge compared with nonwhite women ( P = 0.02), and this difference remained consistent after controlling for education and income.…”
