41‐2: Novel Thinnest Free Form QD Film with Honeycomb Structure

Abstract: We have developed a thinnest QD film with honeycomb structure which can prevent edge deterioration when cut into various shapes. The honeycomb structure protect oxygen invasion from the edge, and also enhances stiffness of thin film. This QD film can be applied to narrow-bezel and thin displays and free-form displays.

“…To solve the edge ingress problem, strategies have been developed to prevent direct contact between the air and the PeNC layer by attaching barrier films to the surface of the PeNC layer to suppress inward diffusion of air and moisture, or by introducing predesigned patterns in the UV layer to minimize H 2 O diffusion into the UV layer and to act as a guide to the film thickness.
