Abstract:A multi‐electrode Fresnel‐type 2D/3D switchable display with novel structure LC lens is proposed which may achieve faster switching speed and low cross‐talk in the 3D displays by applying a discontinuous non‐uniform electric field. Furthermore, a scanning type 3D display with impulsive driving collimate backlight is proposed to solve the resolution degradation problem and decrease the dynamic crosstalk of 3D perception.
