4-Nitrophenyl naphthalene-1-sulfonate

Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C16H11NO5S, the plane of the naphthalene ring system forms a dihedral angle of 63.39 (8)° with the benzene ring. The nitro group makes a dihedral angle of 10.73 (16)° with the benzene ring. Weak intra- and intermolecular C—H⋯O interactions are observed.
