4-Dialkylaminopyridine modified magnetic nanoparticles: as an efficient nano-organocatalyst for one-pot synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromene-3-carbonitrile derivatives in water

Abstract: A new DMAP-based magnetic nano-organocatalyst was developed for efficient one-pot synthesis of 2-amino-4H-chromene-3-carbonitrile derivatives in water as a green solvent.

“…It has several advantages over the reported studies which can be seen in table 2. The superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) were synthesized using a co-precipitation method described before 55,56 were dissolved in deionized water (20 mL) under an inert atmosphere to get a homogenous solution.…”

“…Magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) and maghemite (γ-Fe 2 O 3 ) and mixed ferrites (MFe 2 O 4 where M=Co, Mn, Ni, or Zn) are the three main forms of iron oxide-based nanoparticles 13 16 . To prevent the aggregation of MNPs and also enhancement their stability of them, usually, a layer of silica is coated on the surface 17 . Fe 3 O 4 coated with silica was often used as the support of metal and nonmetal catalysts 18 – 21 .…”
