Abstract: Hot flashes (HF), transitory episodes of erythema, heat sensation, anxiety followed by chills, are described in carcinoid syndrome, mastocytosis, medullary thyroid cancer, hyperthyroidism, pheochromocytoma, alcohol consumption, side effects of drugs, and infections.
