3D Printed Template CT-Guided 125I Seed Implantation In The Treatment Of A Patient With Giant Type A Thymoma: A Case Report

Abstract: Background: Thymoma, as a malignant tumor with low incidence, is still recommended to be treated with surgery. For middle and advanced patients who can not be treated with surgery, it is recommended to use preoperative radiochemotherapy or chemotherapy. After the tumor regressed, the feasibility of surgical resection will be evaluated. As a new technique developed in recent years, 3D template CT-guided 125I seed implantation has achieved effective results in the treatment of a variety of solid tumors. Case pre… Show more

“…Bullectomy is preferred but for surgically unfit candidates, a minimally invasive endo bronchia valve (EBV) placement through a Bronchoscope or intracavitary drainage is the choice. 7 Endoscopic drainage of infected bulla is another option. 8 The percutaneous intra-cavity suction and drainage under local anesthesia was originally described by Monaldi (1938Monaldi ( , 1947 1963), and even lung transplantation (Veith et al, 1973), and in the recent past newer technique i.e., bulectomy, Vedio Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS), and Lung Volume Reduction Surgery (LVRS) etc become popular but each one had wide variable mortality.…”
