3D computer vision system based on spatial phase mapping

Abstract

This paper presents an active three-dimensional vision system that is based on spatial phase mapping technique. The operating principle and unique features of the system is briefly described. The emphasis of this paper is on the description of software design and implementation of the system. The strategy and methodology for the software architecture design of the vision system is discussed in detail. The experimental results obtained from this kind of vision system are also given to show the effectiveness ofthe system.
