Abstract

I would like to thank Dr. Laxmi (Lacchu) and soon to be Dr. Lavi for all the love and care they have showered upon me during the last 4 years. Words cannot describe how much they supported me. I would like to thank my amazing lunch group: Abhishek, Raja, Sumedh, Handiru, Sheetal, Areetha, Saurabh, Supriya, Nishanth and Nikitha for putting up with me and for the most enjoyable lunch time moments all these years. Special thanks to Nikitha and Soumyabrata, who helped me port my thesis into LaTex. I would like to thank my friend Karthik, from whom I have learnt so much about music and audio.
