Vaccination against Human Papilloma Virus continues to remain a highly complex public health issue, as there are many countries or regions that show increasing reluctance. Romania is among the countries that do not provide HPV vaccine in the national vaccination scheme, but offers the opportunity to young girls between 11 and 18 years of age to benefit from free vaccination. It is the responsibility of health professionals in all health sectors to inform themselves correctly, but also to instruct patients in a prophylactic approach against infection with both HPV and other types of microorganisms. Accurate information and a thorough knowledge of the prophylactic means are achieved from the years of study. Our study focuses on the following aspects: the degree of vaccination among dental students, the willingness of students to get vaccinated if they have not done it so far, the degree of information about Human Papilloma Virus infection, including ways of transmission and methods of diagnosing the infection, the perception of students on how this topic has been promoted, the sources of information they access in order to obtain information about Human Papilloma Virus.

This statement focuses on the fact that women with peripartum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) have a substantial mortality and morbidity rate. Less than 50% of patients have full recovery of their cardiac function within 6 months of diagnosis. Also, patients with recovered cardiac function often suffer from comorbidities, such as hypertension or arrhythmias, which require long‐term treatment. This has major implications which extend beyond the life of the patient, as it may also substantially impact her family. Women with a new diagnosis of PPCM should be involved in the decision‐making processes regarding therapies, e.g. the recommendation to abstain from breastfeeding, or the use of cardiac implantable electronic devices. Women living with PPCM face the uncertainty of not knowing for some time whether their cardiac function will recover to allow them a near‐to‐normal life expectancy. This not only impacts their ability to work, which may have financial implications, but may also affect mental health and quality of life for the extended family. Women living with PPCM must be informed that a future pregnancy always carries a substantial risk and, in case of poor cardiac recovery, is associated with a high morbidity and mortality. Patients with PPCM are best managed by an interdisciplinary and multiprofessional approach including e.g. a cardiologist, a gynaecologist, nurses, a psychologist, and social workers. The scope of this document encompasses contemporary challenges and approaches for the management of women diagnosed with PPCM.

Assessment of humoral immune responses following human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination currently relies on invasive blood sampling. This longitudinal cohort study explores the usability of first‐void urine as a noninvasive alternative sample for antibody detection. In this study, 58 women receiving three doses of the 9vHPV vaccine within a Gardasil9 (9vHPV) Phase III randomized controlled trial were included. Participants provided paired first‐void urine and blood samples before vaccination (M0), 1 month after the third dose (M7), and ~3 years after the third dose (M43). Type‐specific antibody responses to the 9vHPV types were analyzed in 174 first‐void urine and 172 serum samples using a virus‐like particle‐based IgG multiplex enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay. Additionally, total human IgG concentrations were determined using the BioPlex assay. At M7, 1 month after complete 9vHPV vaccination, 95%–100% of first‐void urine and 100% of serum samples had detectable concentrations, varying by HPV type. At M43, 84%–100% of first‐void urine and 98%–100% of serum samples had HPV‐specific antibody concentrations. Results show significant Spearman rank correlations between type‐specific HPV‐antibody concentrations for paired first‐void urine and serum at all time points. This study confirms the potential feasibility of utilizing first‐void urine as a noninvasive immunological sample within HPV vaccine trials.
