Previous history of surgery in females and roadside shaving in males are the commonest risk factors for hepatitis C infection

Abstract: Background and objectives: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a causative agent of hepatitis C disease of the liver. We have analysed the major risk factors including demographic, clinical and genotypic distribution among HCV seropositive patients and their distribution in Uttar Pradesh, India.
