34 Oral Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI): Developing Nursing Practice

Abstract: were 9.5% and in 2008 9.05%. This apparent increase is probably due to improved documentation especially for the haematomas. Conclusion: The data for 2009 needs to be analysed to see if the trend remains constant or if some improvement has been obtained. More accurate documention of complications can result in an initial "raise" in the numbers and more data needs to be collected before a definite conclusion can be made.
