Urinary Titin N-Fragment Evaluation in a Randomized Controlled Trial of Beta-Hydroxy-Beta-Methylbutyrate for Acute Mild Trauma in Older Adults

Abstract: The effects of beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate (HMB) complex administration and the significance of titin, a biomarker of muscle injury, in elderly minor trauma patients in acute phase has not been established. In this single-center, randomized controlled study, trauma patients aged ≥ 70 years with an injury severity score < 16 were included.
