“…Laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT) is one such development that has been used safely and effectively in a variety of pathologies, including glioblastoma; metastatic disease; and other primary central nervous system neoplasms, such as meningioma. [5][6][7][8][9] LITT delivers thermal energy through a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) thermometryguided fiberoptic probe, which induces coagulative necrosis to reduce tumor bulk with extreme accuracy.
