320-row CT renal perfusion imaging in patients with aortic dissection: A preliminary study

Abstract: ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical value of renal perfusion imaging in patients with aortic dissection (AD) using 320-row computed tomography (CT), and to determine the relationship between renal CT perfusion imaging and various factors of aortic dissection.MethodsForty-three patients with AD who underwent 320-row CT renal perfusion before operation were prospectively enrolled in this study. Diagnosis of AD was confirmed by transthoracic echocardiography. Blood flow (BF) of bilateral renal perfusion was meas… Show more

“…We investigated renal cortical blood flow in the CE-MDCT method in three different kidney localizations and found no significant differences in perfusion parameters. These data are consistent with the findings of Liu et al, who investigated renal perfusion in 43 patients with aortic dissection in 320-row CT using ROIs selected in four points at the axial or three points at the coronal plane (upper pole, hilum, and lower pole) of the kidney and found similarity of readings taken from these different positions [ 34 ].…”

“…Ello proporciona una exploración muy extensa con una sola contención de la respiración por parte del paciente. Sin embargo, actualmente los escáneres de gama alta con 128 o más coronas también tienen el potencial de acortar la duración de la exploración, mejorando la resolución espacial o explorar un órgano en una sola rotación del gantry sin mover la mesa del paciente (27)(28)(29). El grosor del corte en los estudios de TC de patología aórtica es un factor crucial que influye en la calidad de las imágenes y en la precisión diagnóstica.…”

“…The DeBakey classification was applied for the patients with AD in this study. The data including the true and false lumen, the detection rate of intimal flap, intimal tear, mural thrombosis, and aortic calcification were evaluated in accordance with the following imaging analysis criteria and rating methods (Bhamidipati & Ailawadi, 2009;Tran & Khoynezhad, 2009;Dehghan et al, 2017;Liu et al, 2017;Chun et al, 2018).…”
