“…However, in those studies, radiation was not simulated directly through a radiative transfer equation but its effect was indirectly incorporated either through specific boundary conditions or through the addition of an extra source term in the energy transport equation. More recently, Kim [13] included the short wave length radiation in their simulations (diurnal conditions) while Bournet [6] implemented a bi-band radiation model distinguishing short and long wave length contributions to take account of the diverse optical properties of the glass within these different bands. Moreover, few studies have addressed the question of the dynamics of solar radiation and temperature distribution as [14] did it for a tunnel greenhouse at a daily time scale.…”

“…Campen (2008) showed that climate through a ventilation system is more homogeneous and the control is more efficient than with the conventional method of steam extraction. Dehumidifiers and cooling reduce the overall difference in humidity between the middle and lower areas of a greenhouse, as demonstrated by Kim (2008) using a 3D model could identify the heterogeneous distribution of relative humidity in a greenhouse. According to Majdobi et al (2009), an increase in air temperature precedes a more moderate increase in specific humidity.…”

“…A number of papers have been produced taken into account these aspects (Fatnassi et al, 2003;Molina-Aiz et al, 2004;Rouboa and Monteiro, 2007;Kim et al, 2008;Franco et al, 2011). A recent review on other aspects of crop production and greenhouses can be found in Bartzanas et al (2013).…”
