“…Interactions between the two systems have been well studied in the CSF and plasma of schizophrenic patients through their respective metabolites: the dopamine metabolite homovanillic acid (HVA) and the norepinephrine metabolite 3-methoxy-4-hydroxyphenylglycol (MHPG).
