2D and 3D Spectrum Graphics of the Chemical-Morphological Domains of Complex Biomass by Low Field Proton NMR Energy Relaxation Signal Analysis

Abstract: The present paper describes novel low frequency (LF) 1 H NMR energy relaxation time signal analysis for mapping the different chemical and morphological domains in complex cattle manure (CM) and cattle forage (CF) biomass. Relaxation signals generated by different absorbed water pools and aliphatic chains are analyzed by specifically designed sparse representation methods and a convex optimization PDCO solver, for generating 2D T 1 (spin−matrix) vs T 2 (spin−spin) energy relaxation time spectrum graphics and 3… Show more

“…We demonstrated an improved reconstruction program if a l 2 regularization term is added to the objective function, through λ, of a common regularization, as seen in Equation : centermin0.0ex0.0ex0.5emλtrue∥Ftrue∥F2+true∥Rtrue∥F2centers.t.0.0ex0.0ex0.9emK1FK2+R=S where R is the residuals matrix and λ is the regularization parameter and a positive solution is forced into the system of Equation , it is possible to achieve a highly accurate and stable reconstruction for the 1D T 2 problem. This approach was generalized to the 2D T 2 versus T 1 spectra . Also penalizing the objective function by the l1 norm of the solution resulted in relatively sparse results .…”

“…As we recently showed 1 H LF‐NMR relaxation time technology for materials chemical morphological spectral mapping can be used to characterize linseed oil's thermal oxidation . This was further studied with additional time points as reported in this paper for characterizing the effect of antioxidants.…”
