Rare Cause of Tinnitus: Spontaneous Temporomandibular Joint Herniation Into the External Auditory Canal

Abstract: The herniation of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) into external auditory canal (EAC) may occur due to trauma, neoplastic, infectious, and inflammatory processes. On the other hand, spontaneous herniation of TMJ into EAC is an extremely rare conduction and occurs as a consequence of patent retention of foramen of Huschke (FH).
