Fiber-Reinforced Resin Fixed Prostheses on 4 Short Implants in Severely Atrophic Maxillas: 1-Year Results of a Prospective Cohort Study

“…This is completely in accordance with the present study which showed an improvement in the mechanical response with the use of silica-nylon mesh reinforcement for this prosthesis modality. In a prospective cohort study, a previous paper evaluated 18 patients restored with implant-supported fiber-reinforced resin prostheses (23). The authors did not find prosthetic failure, chipping or fracture within the first year of loading.…”
