A study looking at the effect of calcium and vitamin D in SSCD subjects who underwent plugging, showed that the higher the calcium level the less likely the need for further corrective surgery but there was no mention of pre-operative calcium levels and the association with patients’ symptomatology ( Nguyen et al., 2018 ).…”
