“…The sulfur-oxidizing bacteria Candidatus Thiovulum and Achromatium grow as individual cells, sulfur-oxidizing Beggiatoa , Thioploca, Thiothrix, and sulfate-reducing Desulfonema grow as large filaments, and Ca .
